LAHORE: Different groups intending to contest the forthcoming elections of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) filed nomination papers of their respective candidates with the LCCI administration here on Monday.

The Progressive Group, a representative platform of small traders and industrialists, submitted nomination papers of its candidates for corporate class. The Group has fielded nomination of Khalid Usman, Muhammad Arshad Chaudhry, Iftikhar Ahmad, Riaz ul Hassan, Syed Hassan Raza, Aleem Javed Chaudhry, Muqqadas Aleem and Muhammad Ameen.

Whereas Abdul Wadood Alvi, Malik Kaleem Ahmad, Zafar Ahmad, Muhammad Ijaz, Abid Mir, Tahir Naeem Malik, Faryad Ahmad Raza and Farooq Azam Cheema will be contesting on Associate class seats for the Progressive Group.

Progressive Group chairman Khalid Usman while talking to media on this occasion claimed that his group would emerge victorious with thumping majority and open doors of the chamber for whole of the business community irrespective of their size.

The progressive group representative said his Group was aware of the issues being faced by the small and medium size enterprises and would play the role of an effective voice in the chamber for solution of all the problems.

The Lahore Businessmen Front (LBF) led by its President Muhammad Amjad Chaudhry also filed the nomination papers of its Corporate and Associate Class candidates on Monday.

For Associate Class seats, LBF submitted nomination papers of Muhammad Amjad Chaudhry, Sardar Usman Ghani, Raja Hassan Akhtar, Syed Azmat Ali, Mirza Pervez Baig, Sajid Aziz Meer, Agha Iftikhar, Masood Alam Wayen, Mian Imran Asgher, Muhammad Yaseen and Musarrat Nawaz.

For Corporate class, it submitted nomination papers with the LCCI administration of Taher Malik, Eng. Qadeer Saigol and Tariq Saddique.
