LAHORE: The legal fraternity here Saturday expressing solidarity with bereaved families of Mardan suicide did not appeared before the courts. Pakistan and Punjab bar councils had announced country wide strike on Saturday.

The lawyers held strong protest against the failure of the state agencies to trace out the terrorists and bring them to justice.

The lawyers demanded the government to provide foolproof security to the courts and bars across the country.

Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) also held a meeting and condemned the suicide attack.

The office bearers of LHCBA addressing the meeting said that the terrorists had lost humanity which was condemnable.

The lawyers would not surrender before the evils and would remain united, they added.

They paid tribute to the police officials who sacrificed themselves and did not allow the bomber enter into the courts’ premises. They demanded the government to announce financial support for the martyred families.
