RECORDER REPORT

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued notices to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government and Deputy Coordination Officer Kohistan in response to a plea seeking re-opening of a case related to alleged killing of seven people including five women as a punishment for dancing at a wedding party in Kohistan during 2011.

Appearing before a two member bench of the Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, advocate Afzal Kohistani alleged that girls were killed by their family members whereas no FIR was launched about the incident.

After a brief hearing of the matter, the bench issued directives to the Advocate General of the KPK and DPO Kohistan to submit a comprehensive report in the matter and adjourned the case for two weeks.
