LAHORE: Member of the British House of Lords, Lord Nazir Ahmed has greatly commended the hard work and efforts of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab in solving the problems of Overseas Pakistanis pertaining to the Punjab province.

He was talking to Commissioner OPC Punjab, Afzaal Bhatti during his visit to the OPC Head office. While lauding the efforts of CM Punjab for the establishment of OPC, Lord Nazir said that solving the issues of majority of overseas Pakistanis, in a short period of time, is a welcome step.

Briefing Lord Nazir about the performance and objectives of OPC Punjab, Afzaal Bhatti told that OPC is playing a pivotal role for timely redressal of the grievances of overseas Pakistanis. For online registration of complaints, an IT based system has also been evolved, he added. Bhatti informed that district based overseas committees have been formed to settle the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis at the grassroots.

Lord Nazir vowed to apprise the Pakistani community living in the UK about the good performance of OPC Punjab so that maximum number of Pakistanis could benefit from the services of this commission.
