LAHORE: Chief of Jamaat e Islami Pakistan Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the Federal Finance Minister was declared the Most Successful Finance Minister of Asia for burdening his country with mountains of debt steeped in heavy interest.

Speaking to the central executive board of the Pakistan Engineering Forum at Mansoora on Sunday, he said,in spite of vast resources including manpower and material, the country had been burdened under huge foreign and domestic loans in total disregard to the country's integrity and sovereignty.

The meeting adopted a resolution in which they urged the government to ensure jobs to the young engineers. In another resolution, it demanded of the federal government to approve the service structure for engineers and special allowance for the young engineers.

Sirajul Haq said that every Pakistani was indebted to the tune of rupees 120,000 that meant the independence of coming generations had been chained. He said the rulers had deprived the common man of his peace by making him the slave of the Zionists and Crusaders in the form of IMF and World Bank's loans. He said the masses did not know where these huge loans had been spent. He said the motorway had been mortgaged for the issuance of Sukuk Bonds and it was the most shameful policy.

The JI chief said that the government activities had created doubts regarding the CPEC as there was a contradiction in the statements and the actions of the rulers. Due to that, there was unrest in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the government should have a clear policy in order to remove the misgivings of the smaller provinces. He said that the JI's drive against corruption continued successfully and would continue on roads and crossings and at both houses of the bicameral parliament. He said he was sure that the judiciary would bring the ruler to book and ensure recovery of every penny of the public money from them.
