LARKANA: A team of Sindh Aids Control Programme reached Larkana on Tuesday to investigate the outbreak of the disease in hospitals. AIDS outburst was reported in the dialysis patients of Chandka Medical Hospital after which a team was sent to probe the matter. At least 40 of 105 patients were found having HIV/AIDS. The blood samples of the affected patients were sent to Karachi for test.

Secretary Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority Zahid Ansari while informing on poor medical facilities said that no rules and regulations are followed while conducting the dialysis.—INP
