PESHAWAR: Senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Saleem Saifullah Khan has said that political issues should be resolved in the parliament and urged the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to giving maximum time to National Assembly and establishment better working relationships with opposition.

Talking to media at his residence here on Sunday, he said that opposition played crucial role in pinpointing weaknesses of the government and government took measure to rectify.

He asked PTI chief Imran Khan to concentrate on the progress and development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and resolve basic problems of masses there instead of staging sit-ins and locking cities.

He that Islamabad was the capital of an independent, democratic and Islamic welfare state and no one can lock down it. He said such kind of statements were highly unsuitable and disservice to the country.

He said that in present situation solution to every problem could be sorted out through negotiations, adding that he was not in favour of blocking the entrances to cities and creating hurdles in the path of development.

Saifullah said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was in the grip of backwardness and unemployment while the new Pakistan PTI espoused it was not visible anywhere in the province.

He said that Imran Khan should also spare some time to visit the backward southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to witness the magnitude of backwardness there. He said that the PTI chief should have given maximum concentration on the backward district like Lakki Marwat and spend maximum time in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

To a question regarding Panama Leaks, the senior Leaguer said that he had always remained a staunch advocate of accountability, saying that an inquiry commission should be constituted to investigate unlawful assets.
