RAWALPINDI: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) killed one terrorist belonging to Islamic State of Iran and Syria (ISIS), arrested his cohort with arms, ammunition while Ameer of Daesh Islamabad managed to escape. Two CTD personnel were critically injured in the exchange of fire.

The CTD sources said reacting to intelligence tip-off regarding presence of extremists, search operation was conducted in Rawalpindi city. The terrorists hiding in the area offered resistance injuring two CTD personnel seriously who were rushed to hospital in critical condition.

In retaliatory action one ISIS terrorist later identified as Ahsan Satti was killed, his one accomplice was held while Ameer ISIS Islamabad, Imran Satti managed to escape.

Arms and ammunition was recovered from the possession of the killed and the nabbed terrorists.

The detainee was shifted to an undisclosed location.—INP
