LAHORE: The Punjab Wildlife & Parks Department (PWPD) earned a sum of Rs 677,000 from three day Pheasant Shooting Programme 2016 held in green valley of Kallar Kahar. Total 56 hunters participated in the programme aimed at promoting legal hunting in the province.

The break-up of the collected revenue shows that the department received Rs 28,000 under registration of hunters, Rs 560,000 as fee and Rs 89,600 under the head of sales tax. All this money was deposited in the government kitty.

This was disclosed by PWPD Director General Khalid Ayaz Khan while talking to newsmen on Monday. He claimed that recent programs of the department which include Black Buck and Chinkara Deer Trophy Hunting Programme 2016 in Bahawalpur and Pheasant Shooting Programme in Kallar Kahar has encouraged the legal hunters and promoted sports hunting.
