PESHAWAR: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed the ensuring of the completion of Swat Motorway by the end of December 2017.

While presiding over a meeting at CM House, he said that Swat Motorway is very important project. He said that provincial government would have to ensure its timely completion with national spirit.

During the meeting, the minister was briefed on progress regarding the construction of the motorway and was told that work on the construction is in full swing in different areas. He was also briefed on timeline for different kind of works for the completion of the project.

The chief minister stressed need for the acceleration of the pace of work on the project and said that in wake of future needs, quality work on the project is inevitable.

On this occasion, the chief minister also directed for land acquisition, alternative track system and early completion of other requirements for timely start of work on Rapid Bus Transit Project in Peshawar.

During briefing on packages of the project, the chief minister was told that first package will be from Chamkani to Balahisar Fort, the second package will be up to Amn Square and third package will be from Amn Square to Hayatabad.

The chief minister said that for timely completion of the project, work on it should start early. The completion of the project, he said would resolve traffic problem in Peshawar permanently.
