ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat expressed strong dissatisfaction over the poor results of Central Superior Services (CSS) exams 2016, as only two percent students were able to pass the exams.

The committee directed the Federal Public Service Commission to determine the reasons of decline in percentage of pass students and come up with the proposals so that talented students could pass the CSS exams in future.

The committee met with Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan in Committee Room of Cabinet Division on Friday.

Committee’s Chairman Rana Hayat Khan said the committee would wait for the report of three-member committee constituted by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the poor result of CSS exams 2016. He said that the committee would cover all aspect and reasons of poor results of the CSS exams.

The committee also expressed grave concern over the obsolete condition of machinery and lack of trained staff of Printing Corporation of Pakistan (PCP) and directed the government to inject funds in PCP to make it profitable unit and to meet the requirements of the country as well.

The committee also directed the Cabinet Division to move a summary to the Prime Minister regarding provision of financial assistance to PCP.

The meeting was attended by MNAs Rasheed Ahmed Khan, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, Sardar Mansib Ali Dogar, Malik Ibrar Ahmed, Dr Mehreen Razzaq Bhutto, Parveen Masood Bhatti, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddique, Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak, Shehnaz Saleem, Nighat Parveen Mir, Seema Muhiuddin Jameeli, Sardar Muhammad Irfan Dogar, Farhana Qamar and Roshan Din Junejo, and senior officers of the concerned ministries/departments.
