KARACHI: One bandit was killed and another injured in an encounter with a police team in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area on Wednesday.

According to police sources, three armed bandits entered a house No A-294, Block-7 in Gulistan-e-Jauhar to commit robbery. Police quickly responded and took action against the bandits on a phone call made on Helpline 15.

The bandits tried to flee and opened fire on policemen. The police retaliated in which an accused, Muhammad Bashir, was killed on the spot, while his accomplice, Ali, was arrested in injured condition.-PPI
