KARACHI: The Met Office on Wednesday forecast cloudy weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours.

It said that cloudy weather conditions are likely to prevail over Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and Northeast Balochistan.

Light rain/thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Malakand, D I Khan, D G Khan and Sargodha Divisions, besides FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Drizzle may occur in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Hazara Divisions.

Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country over the period.

“A westerly wave is affecting western parts of country and its adjoining areas,” the Met Office said.

In the next 48 hours: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However rain-thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Makran, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.

Minimum temperature was recorded in Astore, Malam Jabba, Skardu and Kalam (minus two degree Celsius each), and Gupis minus one in the last 24 hours.
