KARACHI: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Information Science and Technology Department, Dr Sikandar Shoro said that present government is fully committed to provide latest scientific and technical education to the youth to equip them to face the challenges of the modern world.

This, he said, while distributing 200 computers to the government schools, he informed that the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed them to provide computers at the school level across the Sindh province.

To meet the challenges of contemporary, Dr Sikandar Shoro said that it is the need of hour that we would provide technical education to our new generation which will be helpful to them in their professional life.

He further elaborated that the computer was a necessary tool to get the latest information; it is our prime responsibility to provide this facility at the schools level. Dr Shoro also informed that Information Science and Technology Department has planned to launch E-syllabus for primary school. Our mission to provide latest technology at grassroots level, he maintained.

He further informed that computers were being distributed among those schools that have student enrolment, computer teacher availability and internet connectivity.

General Manager, Zhongxing Telecom Pakistan (ZTE), Shang You briefed about their organization and informed that in first phase we have donated 200 latest computers to Information Science and Technology for Government schools located in Sindh province.

 On the occasion, Secretary Information Science and Technology Abdul Rahim Shaikh, Director Information Science and Technology Muhammad Yousuf, General Manager South ZTE Pakistan and other officers concerned were also present.
