HAMBURG: South Korea’s Major Feedmill Group (MFG) purchased about 137,000 tonnes of corn which can be sourced from optional origins in an international tender for up to 210,000 tonnes that closed on Tuesday, European traders said.

Some 68,000 tonnes was bought at around $193.80 a tonne c&f plus a $1.50 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading for July 20 arrival, they said.

Another 69,000 tonnes was bought at around $192.50 a tonne c&f plus a $1.50 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading for Aug. 11 arrival.

Traders had initially assessed the price at around $197.75 a tonne c&f.—Reuters
