LAHORE: In order to harness managerial and administrative skills of rescue officers/officials, the Punjab Emergency Service (PES) (Rescue 1122) has established a Managers Training Centre (MTC) here at Emergency Services Academy, Lahore.

The Deputy Director (HR) Dr. Foaad Shahzad Mirza has been designated as Director MTC for effective human resource management.

While addressing to the first batch of managers comprising of Store Keepers & Senior Store Keepers, the Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr. Rizwan Naseer said that efficient inventory management is essential to ensure timely availability of lifesaving machinery. He said that competent managers are essential for the success of any system.

He hoped that this MTC shall ensure capacity building of managers so that they can maintain uniform standard of the Emergency Services.

Dr. Foaad Shahzad Mirza, Ali Hassan, Head of Law & Administration, Ali Raza Baig, Emergency Officer (Store & Logistic) and others were also present on the occasion.

Earlier, the Administration Wing organized a daylong training workshop for Store Keepers & Senior Storekeepers of all districts of Punjab.

They were gone through hands on training of software to maintain effective inventory system of store & logistics of the Service on modern lines.

Dr. Rizwan Naseer said that the Service needs swift supply of store items & logistic during emergency & disaster management especially when the Service responds to structure collapse or floods. He further congratulated the organizers of the training workshop.
