LAHORE: The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has initiated a road safety awareness program titled ‘Rescue Scouts’ for the children of middle schools with the objective to inculcate road safety spirit amongst students.

This initiative has been launched by the service in collaboration with Citizens’ Mobility & Development Foundation (CMDF).

The launching ceremony of “Rescue Scouts” program was held at the School of Contemporary & Islamic Learning (SCIL), Lahore, where DG Rescue Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer was the Chief Guest, while Huma Daha, In-charge School Safety Program Roqiya Bano Javed and others were present on this occasion.

The emergency data of traffic crashes indicate that traffic accidents are the leading cause of death and disability amongst youth of our country.
