KARACHI: Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad and Larkana districts on Thursday sizzled with maximum 47 degrees Celsius, as the Met Office forecast mainly hot and dry weather in the next 24 hours.

Temperatures also simmered Jacobabad and Sukkur districts with maximum 46 degrees Celsius, Rahim Yar Khan, Rohri, Moenjodaro and Turbat 45 during the day.

The office said that rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is however expected at a few places in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur divisions, besides Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Fata and Kashmir over the period.

“A shallow westerly wave is still affecting Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas and likely to persist during 48 hours,” it said.
