RECORDER REPORT

PESHAWAR: Chairman Qaumi Watan Party (QWP), Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, has declared that all conspiracies against the merger of FATA-KP would be foiled and any solution short of merger would not be acceptable.

In a statement here, he said that QWP would shortly evolve strategy to speed up the pace for merger, vowing that party would leave no stone unturned for the rights of tribal people.

Sherpao took strong exception to Prime Minister’s directives for the postponement of the FATA-KP merger, saying that a dictatorial step had been made through remote control from abroad.

He regretted that a bill had been moved in National Assembly but on the face of it the postponement was ordered to please certain elements. He termed it a mockery of the Parliament and 120 million people and democracy. He said that it was great injustice with the tribal people who had rendered heroic sacrifices for the cause of country.

QWP chairman said that Premier Nawaz Sharif had lost the credit due to recent step that he had taken with regards to the FATA reforms.
