LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah here on Friday in Punjab Assembly premises averred that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would appear in connection with Panama case investigation.

He dilated that investigations were on by Joint Investigation Team (JIT) as per orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The Minister said they respected and would adhere to all decisions of superior courts.

He stated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had stated that allegations levied by opposition should be investigated at a proper forum.

He said if JIT asked prime minister to appear before it he would do so. He stated that their government believed in supremacy of law and would assist any forum in that respect.

Law Minister speaking about incoming provincial budget stated that it would be masses friendly and tax free budget.

Minister dilated that issue of electricity shortage would be soon settled.

Punjab Assembly session during the day was also marred by lack of quorum, due to which agenda of the session could not be taken up.

Minister jails in query period on jails stated that no Risk Allowance was given Jail Department Punjab.

He said residences were provided to jail employees in every prison of the province. He stated that in year 2016-17 double storey residences would be provided to grade 1-10 employees in 22 jails of the province.
