ISLAMABAD: The government has allocated Rs 1.817 billion approximately for the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the federal budget 2017-18 against the outgoing fiscal year's revised estimate of Rs 1.704 billion, showing an increase of over Rs 113 million.

The break-up of the allocation is as follows: employees related expenses, Rs 1,340,670,000; Rs 381,839,000 for salaries; Rs 267,742,000 for pay of officers; Rs 114,097,000 for pay of other staff; Rs 958,831,000 for allowances; Rs 730,941,000 for regular allowances; Rs 227,890,000 for other allowances excluding transport allowance; Rs 309,171,000 for operating expenses; Rs 45,677,000 for employees' retirement benefits; Rs 2,500,000 for grants, subsidies and write-off loans; Rs 2,000,000 for transfers; Rs 52,000,000 for physical assets; and Rs 65,000,000 have been allocated for repair and maintenance of transport, machinery and equipment, furniture and fixture, buildings and structure of the apex court.
