RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: Citizens were up in arms against the Lahore Electric Supply Company in an open court organised by a Member Provincial Assembly Rana Mubashir.

The open court was organised to listen to the problems of the residents of Khyaban-e-Amin.

Majority of the residents lodged complaints against unscheduled loadshedding by the Company, saying that the transformers register faults every now and then during the holy month of Ramazan.

They said the transformers were not able to bear the load and thus lead to a fault and eventually the power outage. It may be noted that the people of Pakistan, particularly in Karachi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are on the streets against load shedding. They have destructed public properties besides pelting stones on vehicles, a situation that also led to death of two protestors after police opened fire in KP.
