ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has expressed confidence that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will emerge victorious in the Panama Papers case inquiry.

In an interview with state-run media, she said, “PM Nawaz Sharif too wants that facts should be brought before the people of Pakistan.”

She said, “The Prime Minister and his family fully believe in law and the constitution and that is why he presented himself and his children before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) for accountability.”

The Minister of State said, “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his party have been hurling baseless allegations against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for the last four years.”

She hoped that, “The people of Pakistan will overwhelmingly repose their trust on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the next general elections on the basis of performance and deliverance.”—NNI
