RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that our sensible people by remaining indifferent to long marches, sit-ins and protests have demonstrated that they only want development of their country.

"People of Pakistan have given the mandate of public-service to PML (N) for elimination of extremism, poverty, unemployment and darkness from the country. But there are some political elements who are trying to push the nation in reverse direction with their negative politics," he added

Talking to a delegation of PML (N) office bearers here on Sunday he said the sit-in trend setters have also used every conceivable tactic to damage the national economy; with their baseless lockdowns, sit-ins and protests they have extremely damaged the development plans, he regretted. He said the public has rejected head of sit-in group at every front. Public service is not cup of tea for those whose politics just goes around lies and impeachment. However they should keep in mind that they can't hostage the nation through their non-democratic practices, he warned. These politicians who have broken all records of lies are risking the destiny of the country for their lust for power but history and the nation will never forgive those responsible for creating chaos, restlessness and confrontation in the country he added

Shahbaz said corruption of the former rulers, who plundered the national resources ruthlessly, had left the country in abysmal condition; when PML (N) came to power the country hemmed in dark and clouds of bleakness were hovering over it.

"Pillage of corrupt mafia, nepotism and dishonesties had pushed the national institutions towards the brink of disaster, he claimed. The nation is well aware of those who exempted themselves from payment of their loan and using their political influence looted billions of rupees from banks

The CM said under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif the PML-N government has taken revolutionary measures to transform the fate of the masses and provide them their basic facilities.

"Despite nefarious designs of opponents of progress and prosperity we assure the people that Pakistan will continue to move ahead. We have selflessly served the

people during past four years and steered Pakistan out of the darkness and put on the road to progress and prosperity; we will accomplish the development and the journey of public-service will keep going on and on, he vowed.
