LAHORE: Ideas relating to enhancement of cooperation in skill development, textile, garments and other industrial sectors between Punjab and China were discussed at a meeting presided over by Provincial Minister Industries Commerce and Trade, Sheikh Alla-u-Din on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that China has attained rapid development and became the world’s second economic power. The CPEC has generated tremendous opportunities of investment in Pakistan and Punjab. He said cooperation with China in the fields of textile, garments and skill development will be enhanced. Punjab Board of Information Technology Chief Executive Officer Jhanzaib Brana, Director Sohail Qadri and other officials were also present in the meeting.

The Minister also announced that a delegation of Punjab government along with different trader groups will visit China to take part in international fair import exhibition in Changdu in September 2017.
