LAHORE: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced the position holders of matriculation examination 2017 here on Monday at a ceremony held at BISE Lahore office. Chairman BISE Lahore Chaudhry Ismail announced the names of position holders of Secondary School Certificate Matriculation) annual exams 2017.

The chairman Lahore board Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail in a press conference announced the names of position holders.

The detailed result of SSC Annual Exam 2017 will be announced today in a prize distribution ceremony for the high achievers in which education minister Rana Mashhood is expected to be the chief guest.

According to the results, Umer Tariq of Teach A Child High School for Boys Johar Town grabbed first position by securing 1087 marks, Soban Khalid of Muslim Public High School Sheikhupura and Aleesa Kaleem of The Educators School Ferozwala jointly secured second position by getting 1086 marks whereas third position was secured by Muhammad Abdullah of Unique High School Muslim Town and Muhammad Abdullah Saleem of Government Central Model High School Lahore by getting 1085 marks.

Similarly, in Science Group among girls the first position was grabbed by Aleesa Kaleem of The Educators Ferozwala by getting 1086 marks. The second position was shared by three students including Zunaira Khan of Allama Iqbal Public School Kasur, Afaf Rehman of Crescent Model High School Lahore and Maira Zafar of The Educators School Pattoki by getting 1083 marks.

The most interesting result stand for third position Science Group among Girls where for the first time a position was shared by six students. Misbah Nasir of The Educators Sir Syed Campus Pattoki, Laraib Akmal, Farwa, Hafiza Khadeeja Mutahir, Fatima Awais and Adeen Imtiaz shared the position by getting 1082 marks.

In Science Group among boys the overall position holders grabbed all three positions. Umer Tariq of Teach A Child High School for Boys Johar Town got first position and got 1087 marks, Soban Khalid of Muslim Public High School Sheikhupura secured second position by getting 1086 marks whereas third position was jointly secured by Muhammad Abdullah of Unique High School Muslim Town and Muhammad Abdullah Saleem of Government Central Model High School Lahore by getting 1085 marks.

In Humanities group among girls first position was grabbed by Habiba Bahjat of Qurban Girls High School Lahore by getting 1055 marks, second and third positions were secured by Ayesha of Allama Iqbal School Kasur and Fariha Haq of Government Pak Standard School Shadbagh Lahore by getting 1052 and 1041 marks respectively.

In Humanities group among boys Usama Ikram of Government High School Sheikhupura and Zaryab Amjad a private student grabbed first position and secured 1020 marks. Ghazanfar Ali of Government Taeed ul Islam School Kasur and Muhammad Afzal a private student got second and third positions respectively by getting 1016 and 1001 marks.
