ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Saturday said Pakistan is heading towards a normalized country where the writ of the state and supremacy of law would be second to none.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army’s media wing, armed forces have cleared over 90 percent of the area of Khyber Agency.

The Army Chief visited  the Rajgal Valley of Khyber Agency where he was given a detailed briefing on progress of Operation Khyber-IV.

Gen Bajwa appreciated the professionalism of the troops as well as Pakistan Air Force (PAF) in skillfully targeting terrorist hideouts.

After completion of the operation, Khyber Agency would be free from terrorists’ influence thereby providing peaceful environment for development. He promised that the return of temporarily displaced persons will soon become possible.

Talking to officers and troops on the occasion, the Army Chief thanked Almighty Allah for helping the army come up to the expectations of the nation in uprooting terrorism and militancy in the country.

“With full backing of the nation we are heading towards a normalized Pakistan where writ of state and supremacy of law would be second to none and where every Pakistani in urban, tribal and far-flung areas will be able to play his/her positive and rightful part in Pakistan’s progress,” he said.
