KARACHI: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said federal government is concerned at the recent surge in street crimes in Karachi, which can compromise the gains made through sustained efforts of four years.

During his visit to Karachi, the PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also chaired the meeting on law and order at Governor House Sindh on Saturday.

The meeting was briefed on overall security situation in the province in general and Karachi in particular.

The PM said peace and tranquility in Karachi shall be maintained at all cost. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stressed the need for activating all intelligence resources to arrest this alarming trend.

Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh, Federal Minister for Interior, Corps Commander Karachi, Chief Secretary Sindh, DG Rangers Sindh, IG Sindh and other Senior Government officials were present during the meeting.
