LAHORE: The Lahore city administration on Thursday decided to launch a campaign against medical stores not abiding by the rules and regulation.

Addressing a meeting of District Quality Control Board, Deputy Commissioner Lahore Sumair Ahmed Syed directed the drug inspectors to visit medical stores and check owners are following all the rules or not. On the occasion, the Board’s secretary briefed the meeting about the medical stores which had violated the rules and regulations. As many as 42 violation cases were presented in meeting and after through probing and investigation. The Deputy Commissioner sent 21 cases to court for further prosecution while warnings were issued to the owners.

After examining the cases, the Deputy Commissioner decided to launch the campaign to ensure that the medial stores in the city were running in accordance with the rules and regulations.
