RECORDER REPORT

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan Thursday accused the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government of continuously protecting tax evaders and money launderers.

In a tweet, Khan said that money laundering of $10 billion per year from Pakistan is leading the country to economic crisis. “The PML-N government is shamelessly protecting the tax evaders and money launderers.”

“Burden of this is passed onto to ordinary citizen every year as revenue shortfall looms,” he said, adding, “The government has now raised import duties on over 400 items.”

“It is extremely shameful how a failing government is crippling its citizens with rising debt burden and spiraling prices simply to protect the corrupt mafias,” he regretted.
