LAHORE: Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) completed 270 projects in five years digitalizing complete record of agriculture, education, police, and revenue and other departments. It was revealed by PITB Chairman Dr Umar Saif while speaking at the launching ceremony of book titled “Digital Punjab” here on Wednesday.

He said that attendance of teachers and school staff is being monitored through real time app while record of high court has also been computerized. The data of all the schools of the province has been arranged online and over 600,000 reports have been obtained through use of tablets while teachers attendance and teaching methods have improved significantly, he added.

Saif said that anti corruption department record has also been digitalized while record of provincial departments is saved on various places through a modern technology and fire cannot affect the data. “Attendance of staff of 83 hospitals is being checked through biometric system and record of purchase medicines in hospitals is also computerized”, he added.
