FAISALABAD: As many as 1.321 million children under 5 years of age would be administered polio vaccine drops in the district during the next round of anti polio campaign which would be continued from 20 to 22 November and additional two day would observed as sweeping days for administering the polio drops to the left over children due to any reason. State Minister for Textile Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari, Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani and MNA Begum Khalida Mansoor jointly inaugurated the anti polio campaign at UC 230 Railway Colony. CEO District Health Authority Dr Zafar Abbas, DHO Dr Asif Shahzad, Chairman Union Council Sharafat Khatak, representatives of Pakhtuns and members of civil society were also present on the occasion. State Minister for Textile urged upon the polio teams to reach every child of under 5 years of age so that the polio campaign would be succeeded.

He said that the repeated anti polio campaigns were being carried out to completely wipe out the chance of polio virus. Deputy Commissioner urged upon the parents to get their children vaccinated during the anti polio campaign for complete eradication of polio virus in the country.
