PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Khan awarded Mardan, Swat, Buner and Hangu police officers and jawan on excellent performance of tracing and arresting accused in blind murder, kidnapping and narcotics smuggling cases in a ceremony held at CPO Peshawar Tuesday.

According to details Mardan police have successfully worked out blind murder of 6 years old girl and arrested the accused along with weapon of offence i.e. "knife". The accused had also confessed his crime in the court.

Mardan police in another action had arrested two accused who had snatched Rs 4 million on gunpoint from Bank Manager and recovered the stolen money from them. Both the accused had also confessed their crime.

Similarly, Swat police have foiled an attempt of Narcotics smuggling and recovered huge quantity of charas and arrested the accused. While Buner police have traced two blind murder cases and arrested the accused along with weapon of offence.

Similarly, Hangu police have extra-ordinarily performed well in a blind murder case of 20 years old private school teacher and arrested the three accused along with weapon used in the crime.

Addressing on the occasion the IGP Salahuddin Khan appreciated the professional acumen and hard work of the police in these cases and directed the awardees to further pull their sleeves and tighten the neck around those involved in all sort of crimes.
