LAHORE: Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) rescued over 867,621 victims of different emergencies during year 2017.

This was revealed in the data in which operational performance of Rescue 1122 for the year 2017 was reviewed. The emergency data revealed that total 867,621 victims have been rescued in 786,137 rescue operations, while maintaining its average response time of 7 minutes and standard in all Districts of Punjab.

According to the provincial Monitoring Cell (PMC) data approximately, 262,837 road traffic accidents, 16,386 fire incidents, 401,736 medical emergencies, 22,091 crime incidents, 115 different types of explosions, 07 bomb blasts, 1096 cases of drowning, 580 building collapses and 83,017 miscellaneous incidents took place across the Punjab in 2017 and collectively. Rescue 1122 rescued 5436,280 emergency victims by professionally managing of 4,705,328 rescue operations since inception of service which includes 1,719,542 Road Traffic Crashes, 2,268,310 Medical Emergencies, 103,149 Fire Emergencies, 7185 Building Collapse, 169,178 Crime Incidents, 9239 Drowning cases, 1412 different types of Explosions and 427,313 misc incidents.
