LAHORE: Benazir Bhutto Hospital and Holy Family hospital Rawalpindi are also catering the patients load not only from Rawalpindi but also from Azad Jammu & Kashmir and adjoining areas of Khyber Pukhtunkhawa, Punjab Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Khawaja Salman Rafiq, said.

While talking to the vice-chancellor Rawalpindi Medical University, Prof Dr Muhammad Umer over telephone, the minister said that as per government policy no patient is refused to provide free treatment facilities. That is why, the people of other provinces preferred to approach the hospitals of Punjab for their treatment, he added. Prof Dr Muhammad Umer informed the minister that Pediatric Ward of Benazir Bhutto hospital has 102 beds and 10 additional beds are reserved for mothers of admitted children.
