KARACHI: The Met Office on Wednesday forecast mainly cold and dry weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours.

But it alerted the citizens to the foggy weather that is likely to grip most the plains in Punjab during morning hours.

Isolated rain fell with snow over the hills in parts of Malakand and Hazara Divisions over the past 24 hours. Maximum rainfall was recorded in Kalam as 12 mm, Malam Jabba 9 mm, Dir 7 mm, Pattan 3 mm, Saidu Sharif 1 mm.

Similarly cold weather gripped the most parts with four inches deep snowfall in Malam Jabba and two in Kalam.

Minimum temperature was in Gupis as minus 7 degrees Celsius, minus 6 in Skardu, minus 5 in Astore, minus four, each, in Quetta, Gilgit, Kalam, Dir, and Parachinar, minus three in Kalat, minus two, each, in Bagrote and Chitral, minus one, each, in Murree, Saidu Sharif and Drosh.
