ISLAMABAD: Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair has urged collective efforts by all stakeholders for economic prosperity of Karachi and Sindh.

Economic activities and development in Karachi were linked with development of the country, he said talking to a private news channel. He said foreign investors were now taking keen interest to invest in Karachi due to better law and order in economic hub of the country. Law and order had significantly improved due to effective measures taken by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government, he added.

He said law and order was worst before 2013 in Karachi as incidents of street crime, target killing, kidnapping for ransom were at peak. The PML-N government took exemplary measures and restored peace in the mega city, he said.

He said Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah was a dedicated and energetic person and fulfilling his duties honestly for the welfare of the province.

Muhammad Zubair said doors of the Governor House were open for all political parties and they were welcome there. Being a representative of the federation, he was playing his role as unbiased person, he added.

The PML-N government was paying special attention to Karachi and Sindh and number of development projects was being launched for road infrastructure, transport facilities and provision of water, he said.—APP
