KARACHI: The chairman of the Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), Syed Mustafa Kamal, said he wants to remove hurdles in the way of economic prosperity and create facilities for business community.

Addressing members of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), he said that the business community is well aware of their direction and political parties can only facilitate and provide productive environment for business activities.

He said that economic development is subjected to law & order situation, although operation maintained peace in Karachi but this isn’t an ultimate solution.

He said that for sustainable peace in the city all sections of society should play their roles, including the business community.

Mustafa Kamal said that all parties who claimed to have mandate of Karachi and Sindh performed nothing to uplift the common people’s lives.

The PSP chief said that for the upcoming elections his party would be the only option for the voter, especially in Karachi and urban Sindh.

He warned that the ethnic and sectarian fault lines of Karachi suit the enemies of the city, and the PSP will raise a voice against any hatred.

Mustafa Kamal said that during the proceedings of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on the water Issue it was revealed that 90 percent of water provided to Karachi was contaminated with human feces.

The PSP chief said that the provincial government of the PPP spent thousands of million in the education sector but still seven million children are out of schools.

He said that the PSP will sweep the upcoming elections.

President of KATI Tariq Malik said that Mustafa Kamal has played an enormous role in the development of Karachi.

He said that the business community is eager to hear the economic agenda of political parties.

He said that industry is facing a number of issues, including higher rates of energy, infrastructural shortcomings and non-persistent policies.

He said that the business community expecting straightforward policies by Mustafa Kamal and his party.
