PESHAWAR: KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has directed the early completion of the project of Timergara Medical College, Dir Lower as soon as possible and emphasized completing all necessary requirements in this regard.

He was presiding over a meeting regarding progress on the project here in Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Besides, Senior Minister for Local Government and Rural Development (LG&RD), Inayatullah Khan; Provincial Minister for Finance, Muzaffar Said; MPA Haji Saeed Gul; Secretary Finance, Higher Education and Health; Vice Chancellor, Khyber Medical University, Dr. Hafeezullah; Project Director, Timergara Medical College; Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and other concerned authorities attended the meeting.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister also directed the release of the remaining required funds for the projects with immediate effect and directed the completion of the construction of college and recruitment of employees and termed the project inevitable to meet the educational and particular medical requirements of the area.

The Chief Minister did not agree with the proposal for the preparation of two separate PC-Is for the recruitment of academic staff and procurement of instruments for the college and said that it will once again trigger a long process of documentation.

Therefore, he directed the speedy completion of all affairs as decided well in advance.

Meanwhile, presiding a high-level meeting, the chief minister directed the completion of the rehabilitation of infrastructure in Sheikh Maltoon Town, Mardan by March this year. He directed to carry the work forward and finish it in prescribed time.

Earlier, the chief minister was told that work on the Phase-I of the rehabilitation of infrastructure work on Sheikh Maltoon Town has started from January 12, 2012 and will cost a sum of Rs.325.625 million.

The time period of the project was 12 months. The chief minister directed the completion of the project by March 2015.
