LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) and the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan on Friday expressed the resolve to extend cooperation on political issues and other national issues.

This understanding was reached in a meeting between Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch and Ameer Punjab Mian Maqsood Ahmad with Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujat Hussain and senior leader Chaudhry Parvez Elahi at their residence.

The Jamaat leaders assured support to the PML-Q candidate of Senate from Punjab Kamil Ali Agha. During the meeting, views were exchanged in detail regarding prevailing political situation in the country and future political strategy. Leaders of both the political parties expressed complete solidarity with the Kashmiris, condemning in the strongest possible words brutalities and atrocities of occupying Indian force. They said international community should uphold promises made with the oppressed Kashmiris on the floor of the United Nations and practical steps should be taken for implementation of the Security Council.
