LAHORE: During the 75 years anniversary celebrations, Allied Bank inaugurated Innovation Lab at a ceremony held at its Head Office. The inauguration of the lab was done by Chairman Allied Bank Naeem Mukhtar in the presence of Tahir Hassan Qureshi CEO and other senior bank executives.

Innovation Lab is a key initiative of Allied Bank’s digital strategy that will accelerate development of high tech banking services, integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to promote use of self-service banking in Pakistan. This will also serve as a basis to optimize operational cost and expand the outreach of financial services to the unbanked sectors, in line with the financial inclusion strategy envisioned by SBP.

“Innovation Lab will provide a platform to internal teams, technology partners, FinTech and startups to collaborate and complement their knowledge and skills to foster innovation within the banking industry, thus speeding up provision of high quality digital financial solutions to the masses” said Naeem Mukhtar Chairman Allied Bank.

ABL’s Innovation Lab is equipped with latest tools and technologies to facilitate research and prototyping activities, which are imperative to nurture ideas of new products and services in digital banking space. The lab aims to provide a competitive platform for research and development to emerging start-ups and academia, bringing in revolutionary ideas/concepts/business cases to design and launch new digitally savvy banking services for prospective customers especially the unbanked market.
