LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jahangir Khanzada has said that the Punjab government is utilizing all resources for the bright future of talented youth of the province.

"Potential youth is the real future of Pakistan and we will go to every extent for providing them proper guidance," he said while addressing the grand dinner ceremony held at the State of the Art Punjab International Swimming Complex.

The grand dinner ceremony was hosted in the honour of participants of First National Youth Summit Pakistan (NYSP) held under the auspices of University of Lahore (UoL) and Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Jahangir Khanzada said healthy activities played key role in changing the fortunes of a citizen and holding of First National Youth Summit Pakistan is the right step towards achieving this goal.

"It is right time for our youth to take part in sports activities as much as they can. This trend will definitely transform them into useful individuals of the society," he elaborated. "The First National Youth Summit Pakistan has proved to be a great platform to develop mutual love and respect among the youth belong various parts of the country including Sindh, FATA and Kashmir etc," he explained.

Khanzada further said that 60 percent population of the country is comprised of youth. "The main purpose of First National Youth Summit Pakistan is to enhance peace, harmony and solidarity among the youth of the country. This mega event reflected a true picture of all cultures of the country," he added. "The experts of various fields also delivered highly informative lectures to youth in the two-day mega summit. The talented young male and female students also featured in constructive discussions on this platform". He said: "The Punjab government is providing best sports facilities to youth of the province. Recently, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated the State of the Art Punjab International Swimming Complex. The complex is laced with world class facilities including the facility of warm and cold water. The temperature of the water can also be changed as per requirement and weather conditions."
