RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: The Punjab police have integrated all closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed at different entry and exit points of the provincial capital with the cameras of Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) in order to improve law and order.

According to police officials, the city police have installed CCTV cameras at 13 different entry and exit points of the city to ensure proper surveillance of suspicious activities. They said those cameras had been integrated with the cameras of the PSCA which would enable the law enforcers in ensuring online monitoring of suspects or suspicious activities through their cell phones.

The police officials said surveillance of ordinary pickets would be ensured at the office of Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Lahore, Superintendent of Police Mujahid (Dolphin) and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore. The police officers believe that the move will help in minimising bribery at pickets.
