KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is preparing to hold public meetings under intensified mass contact campaign in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa ahead of general elections.

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari presided over a meeting at the Bilawal House, here on Monday where he discussed reorganisation of the party and public meetings in Punjab and KP provinces with the PPP’s office-bearers and leaders from Punjab and KP.

The focus of the party is: how to woo maximum vote-bank in the next general elections.

The PPP leaders who attended the meeting included PPP Central Punjab president Qamar Zaman Kaira, general secretary Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed, PPP Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa president Humayun Khan, general secretary Faisal Karim Kundi, Nadeem Afzal Chan and PPP Karachi Division president MPA Saeed Ghani.

Bilawal congratulated PPP KP chapter on winning two Senate seats.

Bilawal also visited the house of PPP MPA Rubina Qaimkhani and offered condolences over the tragic death of her young son Hamza Qaimkhani in a road accident. He sympathized with Qaimkhani and also praised her conviction as she cast her vote in the Senate elections as a democratic duty despite deep grief over the tragic death of young son. He said PPP is proud of brave and loyal woman such as Rubina Qaimkhani.
