LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Schools Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said inaugural ceremony of proposed Punjab Tianjin University of Technical Education (PTUT) will be held on March 23 in which Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be the chief guest.

A temporary campus of this university has been set up in Township, Lahore, whereas permanent campus will be constructed at Raiwind Road, he added.

He said this during a visit to Punjab Tianjin University of Technical Education, Township Campus, on Thursday.

While addressing the meeting at PTUT, the Minister said that setting up of Punjab Tianjin University of Technical Education has been made possible due to ‘Punjab Speed.’ He said agreements have been signed with three Chinese universities for setting up of this university in which Tianjin University of Technology and Education, Tianjin Chenjian University and Tianjin Polytechnic Universities are included. Electrical, mechanical, auto-mobile, civil, architectural, textile and fashion designing as well as Chinese and English languages courses will be offered in the university and required professional staff including designers and heads of departments are arranged from China.

The Provincial Minister said this is the first educational project in connection with China Pakistan Economic Corridor project in which Pakistani youth will get benefit from high-tech technology and state-of-the-art laboratories of the world which will help provide respectable job opportunities in various sectors.
