LAHORE: The Anti Narcotics Force Pakistan seized 1.091 tons narcotics and 1,625 litres Acetic Anhydride valuing Rs 1.25 billion internationally, arrested 27 persons including two women involved in drug smuggling and impounded seven vehicles while conducting 27 counter-narcotics strikes across the country last week.

ANF spokesman said the seized drugs comprised 1019.65kg hashish, 23.29kg heroin, 36.35kg opium, 5.85kg amphetamine, 5.94kg methamphetamine and 1,625 litres acetic anhydride. Most of the recovered drug was intended to be smuggled abroad.

ANF Lahore carried out 10 operations in central Punjab and foiled four attempts to smuggle various quantities of Methamphetamine, and Amphetamine to Saudi Arabia and arrested the accused at international airports of Faisalabad, Multan and Lahore.
