MULTAN: At least two persons lost their lives on Tuesday in Nishtar Hospital after suffering in Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic fever, commonly referred to as Congo fever.

The victims include Waziristan’s 40-year-old Zara Sanaullah and Dera Ghazi Khan’s 50-year-old Abdul Qayyum.

They were kept in the isolation ward of Nishtar hospital for treatment where they died. Their blood samples were sent to Islamabad’s health laboratory for test.—INP
