RECORDER REPORT

LAHORE: Flour millers have urged the government to clear the outstanding dues of the flour mills before expiry of its term. They alleged that flour millers are making hue and cry for the last two years for clearance of their refunds under the head of wheat export.

Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA-Punjab), former chairman Mian Riaz, Atif Abdul Ghaffar and others while talking to journalists here on Tuesday said that just a few weeks have left in completion of tenure of the present government but millers are not being paid export refunds against wheat exported to Afghanistan. They alleged that millers were bearing severe financial crunch and they were facing hardships in procurement of wheat during the current wheat purchase season.

They urged the PM and chief minister Punjab to ensure payment to the flour millers before expiry of their term so the rulers could be remembered in good words.
