PESHAWAR: Policy Research Institute of Market Economy (PRIME) is going to launch recently completed report on ‘Metropolitan Competitiveness Index (MCI) in Peshawar on April 26. In this connection a function has been organized in City University at 2:00 P.M.

The MCI report covers five major metropolitan cities including the federal capital and the four provincial capitals of the country. Metropolitan cities being drivers of economic growth have a huge potential to uplift the country’s economy. Hence, the aim is to develop benchmark for economic governance and build on recommendations of how these cities can be hubs of productivity and growth.

Data is gathered through research, interactive sessions and public debate between business community, associations, experts and local governments. The index is designed on three pillars of Economic Dynamism, Infrastructure Efficiency and Livability Aspects respectively. The tentative date for launching the report in Peshawar is April 26, 2018 at 2:00 P.M.
