LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek has demanded that the disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif be arrested under the official secret Act on account of violating his oath of office and making misleading remarks against interests of the country regarding Mumbai attacks.

Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gundapur said here on Sunday that PAT was approaching the courts for registering a high treason case against Nawaz Sharif. He claimed that Nawaz Sharif’s arranged interview was a premeditated step against state of Pakistan as he is acting as puppet in the hands of hostile forces to protect his ill gotten wealth.

Gundapur said Sharif’s tirade was aimed at pressurizing state-institutions by denigrating them. PAT Chairman Allama Tahirul Qadri has already revealed names and passport numbers of Indian engineers and technicians working in the Sharif family sugar mills and factories.

He called upon the patriotic elements still in PML-N to disassociate them from Nawaz Sharif who has proved himself beyond any doubt that he is a traitor and working against the integrity and solidarity of the country to save his plundered wealth.
